I just did an Android to Android with these instructions. The trick is hidden away in one of the links in this story. If you try to run a bookmark from the bookmarks menu on a site in Android Chrome nothing happens... but it turns out you can tap in the address bar while you are on the Wordle site, then start typing the name of your bookmark ("Wordle - restore state"). It will find your bookmark as a result from the address bar search and then work just fine!
